Checked in just after 3PM. A nice woman was my clerk. When she asked for the credit card and ID, I gave her the sandwich and asked if she had any complimentary upgrades available. She said certainly, typed away for a minute, and said “I’ll be right back”. She went to the back room, and when she came back the explained we had an “option”. She then went on to explain all the perks of our 1500sq ft one bedroom penthouse, which she would happily offer as a complementary upgrade. Started off my brother-in-law’s bachelor party on a huge plus!

I was in the line and got a lovey girl but as she was next to another receptionist with a customer I had to ask quietly “Is there any chance of a complementary upgrade?”
Certainly sir, I’ll do that now for you.
And what a beautiful suite!
I feel like a millionaire

Arrived early evening for a convention. Waited in line for maybe one or two guests. There were two employees at the desk. I went up to the first available guy, gave him my name and he asked for DL and CC. Gave him the sandwich and said we’d appreciate if there was anything he could do for us.

No questions asked. Immediately started looking. I had 2 rooms booked – one for me and my girlfriend and another for my brother and his buddies . I mentioned that I only cared about the King bed room and he said that he was already on it.

Paid $20 for an upgrade probably worth $300 over the 3 nights. Was placed in an unnecessarily large one bedroom suite. 2 bathrooms, full kitchen/living room and large master bedroom. 10/10 would recommend this hotel and when in Vegas, the $20 trick is always worth a shot.

We arrived around noon time, and there were a lot of people checking in. When it was my turn, I just went up to the clerk. She asked me for my ID, and I gave her the sandwich without saying anything. She totally understood the hint, and said ” I will see what I can do”. She upgraded us to a nice one bedroom suite with strip view on a pretty high floor. It was so worth it!

Attended for a bachelor party (we made sure to mention this). We checked in at the normal check-in time around 2pm. My girlfriend and I approached a young lady at the front desk and slipped the $20 in between the debit card and ID. My girlfriend didn’t even see me do it ( I was very sly). We made casual conversation, and then quietly asked if there was any complimentary upgrades, she smiled and said that there was a one bedroom corner suite available. YES! That was exactly what we wanted. The room was gorgeous! Can’t wait to stay again.

I got to the front desk at around 11. There were 2 gents and a lady, the lady was furthest from the supervisor. Got the guy closest to the supervisors. He asked for ID, I smiled a little and told him “u dont want the credit card too”, he understood and said I’ll take care of you. Gave us a corner suite, full strip view on a high floor for 5 nights. He was also great at giving advice about the city as we were first timers. Generally be friendly, arrive early and tip generously.

P.s. Another party with us tried to get an upgrade without a tip, didnt work and got stuck with a mountain view room.

Never done this before but with confidence, I sandwiched a $20 between my drivers license and credit card, asked for any complementary upgrades, she smiled and said you will love your room. Lol she gave me an upgrade 1 bedroom corner suite, strip view for the weekend. I originally did a deal with Priceline for $150 a night. This was a weekend during valentines and Chinese holiday, also no rooms were available, according to the website about 12hrs I booked. Super happy 🙂 thanks!

Arrived at 3am. Only one clerk working. Approached and gave him the sandwich. He ducked to the back room and came back to let us know we have been upgraded to the Penthouse Suit. Didn’t even have to ask!
