Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Deluxe Room with a Fountain View  from  Deluxe Room

Asked the clerk if she had any upgrades with a $20 showing inbetween my DL and CC. In about 2 minutes we were upgraded to the 29th Floor with a awesome view of the Fountains and the Eiffel Tower. Two other couples with us checked in at the sametime and did not try the trick. The were put on the 12 floor with a terrible view.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Larger Room /w View  from  Standard Room

As those before me posted. CC+$20+DL. It was a bit early for check in so I wasn’t sure if it would work. I went up to the casino to get my player’s club card first. No problems there as it took about 2 minutes. Headed back down to the check in and waited in a very small line. 2-3 people ahead of us. We were waved over to the special check in area at the far right. I can’t remember the name but the woman wasn’t busy and waved us over. I smiled my best smile. Made a little small talk….first time in Vegas, looking to have fun, blah blah blah. I handed everything over and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades.

She smiled as she noticed the $20. She placed the $20 on the counter next to the keyboard and began typing. As she was typing, she asked how I knew about the $20 trick since I’ve never been to Vegas. I just smiled and said something like “just trying my luck” (Thanks FatWallet).

As she brought up my reservation, she noticed the great rate I was already getting. $49 a night!!! Thanks again FatWallet! She said that due to the already discounted rate she might not be able to upgrade my room. She said she would return the money if she couldn’t. She started to type away and began writing down several room numbers. Things started looking bleak as she started to cross off the room numbers one by one.

Finally she stopped typing and reached under the counter and brought up a 3 ring binder. She opened the book and showed us the room we had reserved. 400sq ft, one little window with no view. Then she turned the page that showed a larger room with two big windows, couch, foyer. She said that this would normally be a $50 a night upgrade but it would not cost us a thing.

We thanked her for all her hard work. She then printed off a sheet that had 2 free tickets to Stomp Out Load, 2 for 1 at the Spice Market Buffet, $20 in free slot play. She handed us that and also included another discount for the buffet.

She wrote down her name and number as said if we needed anything to call her.

After a few more thank you’s we made our way up to the room. Great view of the strip (despite all the construction).

If you’re going to stay at PH, look for an attractive blonde named Denise.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  resort room  from  standard

Handed clerk liscense and credit card and asked if there were any possible complimentary upgrades. He smiled and asked how many beds I would be needing. He looked through his booklet of different types of rooms and since I needed 2 beds, the only room to accomodate that would be a resort room. I was happy with that, but I think if we only needed one bed we would have had something more. Worked like a charm. By the way the clerk was an Asian man named Paul.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Room  from  Deluxe Room

Placed $20 between ID and CC with the $20 visible. Asked if there were any comped upgrades since it was our anniversary. Clerk saw the $20 and immediately said, “I’ll take care of you guys.” This is the first time we’ve tried this, so that alone was very exciting! Anyway, he offered us the 23rd floor (2 dbl beds) or the 12th floor King bed, smoking. We chose the 12th floor b/c he said there was construction on the other side. Plus, the room didn’t smell like smoke. We really enjoyed the extra space (100 ft bigger) and the view was very nice of Paris, the tower, and Caeser’s. We were NOT asked for the player’s card and got the extras that came w/ the old promo- booked under CNEW something back in Jan. 2 free Stomp tickets, B1G1 Buffet. STOMP was awesome! Highly recommended. Anyway, great deal, didn’t hear any contruction and hotel’s location cannot be beat for the price. That said, however, there isn’t a whole lot to do there, as we went around to other hotels and clubs to have fun and gamble. Would def stay again for the price and location. THANKS

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Vista  from  Resort Room

We were 2 seperate couples that tried it with 2 different agents, the other couple weren’t offered anything, we were offered the above room, which wasn’t an improvement in my book. Had the $20 between the DL and CC, put it back in my pocket when that was all he offered.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  2 Resort Rooms  from  2 Deluxe Rooms

It worked great, was able to upgrade two rooms for two nights on only a $20.00 tip. Clerk was very helpful and courteous. Great deal because it gave us a lot of space since there were four persons to a room

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  Panorama suite - 31st floor - Fountains view  from  Standard

The way he was talking, I thought I would have gotten something even more spectacular, but it’s very nice. I’m sure I would have gotten the same with a $20, and possibly for nothing since I’m SPG platinum.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Panorama Suite  from  Deluxe

Simply put the $20 bill between my ID and CC and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available. She said that she’d look and after a lot of typing on the computer she said that she had a Strip Suite but that it was on a smoking floor. I said that’s fine. She then continued to type away and then she said that she found a panorama suite with a view of the fountains. It was an awesome room!

Was booked in 2 deluxe rooms for a bachelor party. Folded the 20 in between the ID and credit card and asked for complimentary upgrade. Got both rooms upgraded to a resort room for 20.00 total with a great view of the pool on the 10th and 11th floor. Great room, very spacious, fit 5 of us in each comfortably.

Planet Hollywood Details

Planet Hollywood is a Las Vegas resort and casino that was founded in 1991 by Bryan Kestner, a former actor, producer and businessman. Kestner was the founder of the Hard Rock Café, which turned out to be highly successful. He believed his Planet Hollywood venture would be equally so. The company was pretty profitable initially, but things went downhill in the 20th century. Planet Hollywood had to change hands before things started to improve.

The casino has received support from numerous celebrities. It faced a history of financial problems due to poor management and was eventually sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Under new management, it has become one of the most popular casinos in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Well Known Celebrities Support Planet Hollywood Brand

Planet Hollywood is one of the best known casinos in the world. One of the reasons it is so famous is that a large number of celebrities have endorsed it over the years. A-list celebrities that support the casino include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Demore and Sylvester Salone. The casino gave many of these actors free Esops in exchange for their patronage, which helped boost the brand.

However, the value of the publicity they provided declined as they got older and their performance in the box offices started to decline. According to the Economic Times, the casino’s revenues declined after they gold older, which contributed to the problems that led to the casino filing for bankruptcy twice.

After Caesar took over the ailing establishment, it has found new ways to leverage celebrities to boost its reputation. In a rather controversial move, Planet Hollywood recently hosted a showdown between GOP presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. Planet Hollywood has also recently provided accommodations to Pitbull, Janet Jackson and other leading celebrities, which is helping improve its brand.

Britney Spears has recently spent $100,000 to make a career comeback, which includes a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood. She will be making dozens of performances at the resort, which is expected to help create traction for both parties.

Customer Reviews of Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood is one of the highest rated casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. It is recommended by 86% of Expedia members that have visited it.

There are a number of reasons that Planet Hollywood is so strongly recommended. It is well-known for having attentive staff and providing fun activities, both for people that want to gamble or enjoy the resort. Many people have said that it is especially good for single people, since there aren’t many kids around. However, one of the biggest reasons that many people enjoy their stay at Planet Hollywood is that it is right in the center of the Strip, which makes it easy to enjoy their stay in Las Vegas.
