Jackpot! Tanya Got A Caesars Palace Room Upgrade

We checked in at around 2pm the line was so long I knew for sure we could not possibly get someone that fit the descrip. We had our eye on this young guy who looked like he could very well upgrade us. Finally when it was our turn just our luck we got the rep we had been eyeing. My husband handed him the sandwich said we were already being comped and in the best tower, still gave us a TOP FLOOR room 45th w/view of the Bellagio Fountains, Jacuzzi tub, plasma tv’s. "He said it does not get any better than this" We agreed we completely consider this a success. P.S. he was a professional he hid that $20.00 so fast we thought it was Magic! Good LUCK!!!

Jackpot! Jopy Got A Caesars Palace Room Upgrade

The front desk was nearly empty. We had booked a very discounted room rate (approx $140 a night) for a standard king. We figured we'd be in an old room so it was worth trying. The clerk was very friendly. I handed the $20 between my cc and my ID and said we were celebrating a special weekend and anything he could do to get us a nice room we'd appreciate. He left the $20 on the counter, played around on the computer and even got on the phone for a bit. Then he took the $20, placed it in his pocket and thanked us. He told us he put us in the Augustus tower. The room was beautiful! It had a view of the Bellagio fountains and a fantastic bathroom. It was a great weekend.

tried to check in at 10:30 am. Short line. I gave Maria the sandwich. She said there were no complimentary upgrades and offered an $20/night upsell with a fountain view. We took it. Great room. Cheap upgrade.

No Dice For Kim at Caesars Palace...

I went on a Friday afternoon, the checkin desk had a huge line going past the ropes. It took at least 45 minutes to get to the clerk, when I asked if she had any suites available with the $20 visible between the license and credit card she chuckled and said no, didn't even give me the option of paying for the upgrade. The standard room was horrible: smelled like smoke, burn holes in the carpet, hairdryer didn't work, someone had punched in the bathroom door, hair in the shower, bathroom faucet handle fell off (but screwed back on), no maid service the second day (do not disturb sign on till 1pm), had to call for towels and it took them an hour to deliver them. The food and drinks were very expensive: $4 water, $15 mixed drinks, $15 burger, fries and soda. The only good thing about staying at Caesars was free cover to PURE nightclub but they don't advertise it too much so I didn't find it till the last night. Oh and with the Cher, Bette Midler, Elton John trifecta they have playing at the colasium there were a lot of gay people which could be good or bad depending on what your looking for.

So i sandwiched my 20 in between my credit card and id and asked if they had any complimentary upgrades. Sadly she said no, saw the 20 and smile and told us that we can upgrade to augustus for 80 dollars more a day. We decline...

Asked for Palace Tower Premium @ Diamond Check-in and received it, no problem. The Palace Premium is the room with the dual bathrooms with shared walk-through shower. Recently renovated and had a fabulous view of Bellagio fountains and the Venus pool (in the know are familiar with that scenery).

Jackpot! Jeff Got A Caesars Palace Room Upgrade

Checked in late, put $20 between license and credit card and handed it to the clerk, asking if any upgrades were available. Their computer system was down, so she had to go to the back room to check, leaving the $20 exposed on the counter. Ended up with a room high up in the Palace Tower with a Northward view (with LCD TV and jacuzzi tub).

No Dice For Ross at Caesars Palace...

So I've read ALL sorts of different experiences about the $20 tip, I practiced my lines over and over again. Me and my gf had booked a Classic Room for four nights, cost about $440 + tax. I had my $20 ready. Checked in on Monday around 12:30 pm. No line up. The girl behind the counter sounded like she was a newbie from the way she was talking. She sounded scripted as though she was memorizing her lines and repeating them verbatim. She was very efficient in checking us in and was very courteous. But I didn't get a good vibe and I flaked out, I just asked for an upgrade w/o the tip, she said w/ a smile "No, we can't do that, sorry." So we went to our room, room 1423 in the Roman tower. A cramped, dated, not entirely clean room (the carpet could use a shampoo and the safe could use a scrub for starters) with a view of the highway and the construction site of the Octavius Tower. I was kinda demoralized. It was my first time in Vegas and I was thinking that the world renown Caesars-palace/"target="_blank">Caesar's Palace would have some sense of luxury, even for their more modestly priced rooms. So we unpacked, walked to the Bellagio, enjoyed their buffet, and walked back for a rest before going back out to the Mirage to see Love. So I called up the front desk and politely explained that this room and a view of the construction site wasn't quite what I had expected and if there was a similar room available that might be better. Joe said that it was no problem, that I should come back down and get some new keys cut for the Palace Tower. I'm thinking 'sweet!' So I go to the front desk while my gf packed everything back up and Justin was serving me, he said that he wasn't sure what the view was but I was moved to the 45th floor of the Agustus Tower and that it would be a complimentary upgrade. Definately a better room when we got there! Just turn right from the elevators and we were in room 4577, a wonderful view facing the Strip (North I think) towards Mirage. I would love to go to Caesars Palace again! We were more than pleased with this upgrade! (Obviously)

No Dice For Ross at Caesars Palace...

Check in at Caesars around 1pm Monday afternoon. Only about 6 people in line. Been practicing my lines all day. Had my 20 between my ID and my CC. Then a front desk clerk calls me up. She gave me the feeling that she was new... the way she was talking sounded like she just got outta training or something. I flake out. I ask about a complimentary upgrade without handing over any cash. She said politely "No, I'm sorry we can't do that." So I get a room on the 14th floor of the Roman tower. Room 1423 I think. Nice view of the pool... and the highway and construction site of the Octavius tower. So I go wander around the Bellagio for a bit. Have a buffet. Get back to my room to get ready to go see Cirque de Soleil Love at the Mirage. I'm here for four nights. The floor looks like it needs a shampoo. The room is cramped. It's dated. There's crud all over the safe. And there's this lousy view. I know a lot of people say "You're only sleeping there." But the bed was really uncomfortable also. Well what do you want for $100/night for two nights and $120/night for the other two nights. Well I'm not gonna spend my first time in Vegas in this room. I called the front desk, politely explained that a view of the construction isn't what I had in mind for my first time in Vegas and in Caesars. So I was offered a complimentary upgrade to a basic room in the Agustus tower. 45th floor, room 4577. Just off to the right of the elevators, but it didn't matter, you couldn't hear anything from there. HUGE improvement. Spacious. View of the Strip facing North. (I think it was North) Comfy bed. Bright modern decor. Now THIS is the way to stay in Vegas, especially for your first time.
Stay away from the Roman tower!

Jackpot! Kerri Got A Caesars Palace Room Upgrade

I stumbled upon this website a few days before we left for Vegas. Although I had been there 2 other times, I'm not overly comfortable with the tipping aspect of Vegas. But, I really wanted to stay in the Augustus tower, so I was determined to try it. At check in, I walked up with folded up $20 in hand and after the clerk began checking us in, I asked if there were any room upgrades available (while I tapped the 20 on the counter). He immediately said- I think I can help you with that. He put us on the 43rd floor in a corner petite suite, which was awesome. The only downside was that this is the side the faces the new construction they are doing. Not a big deal since I get up early and my husband is a heavy sleeper. Excellent trade off for the gorgeous room we had. Well worth the effort. DEFINITELY try this!!!

Showed the $50 and he said he'd see what he could do. Initially, he offered the upgrade for a discount per night, but this was still very high. We declined, and following this he offered to waive the cost! Amazing room on the 43rd floor of the new tower with a view of the Bellagio fountains! Huge room, 2 sinks, jet tub, walk in shower, 2 flat screens, just incredible!

Jackpot! Brandon Got A Caesars Palace Room Upgrade

Not normally the type to try this sort of thing but in Vegas decided to roll the dice, especially after reading comments on this site. Was a little hesitant about our chances because it was the start of NCAA tourney weekend but the clerk knew exactly what was up. He worked hard for it too as there seemed to be very little available (aforementioned tourney weekend). However, after 5-10 minutes announced we would be in a Palace Tower suite...jacuzzi tub, walk in dual showers, with a view overlooking the pool area and we could see the Bellagio fountains. The best part was he apologized for taking so long, haha. No worries, it was well worth the time, and made my trip.

Tip worked perfectly. We hand clerk the sandwich and told her the $20 was hers... She told us we had reserved a room with a roman luv tub, but she thought she could get us in a deluxe king suite w/a luv tub. The deluxe king suite was awesome! We were on the 16th floor with a view of Caesars-palace/"target="_blank">Caesar's. The room had a balcony, couch and two chairs in a seperate room from the bedroom, a roman luv tub, and a king size bed with mirrors everywhere! All in all the room was about the size of 3-4 standard rooms...it was simply AWESOME!

A few taps of the keyboard and we had a suite on the 44th floor of Augustus Tower overlooking the Bellagio Fountains and the strip. Well worth the extra $5 a night!!

Decided to try with a $50 tip as we were staying for 6 nights. Had booked a really cheap rate for the standard room on the internet so it was worth asking for the complimentary upgrade. Got a fantastic room on the 26th floor overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Desk clerk was quick, friendly and helpful and I will try this at every hotel I stay in from now on!
