Saved:  $Unsure Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Jubilee Room Strip View  from  Jubilee Room

Got in early around 10:30 a.m. Standing in the check-in line with my sandwich out and ready (left a tiny bit of green sticking out). A female employee was going down the line trying to help people. She asked the guy in front of me if he was checking in, he said yes, she said he’ll have to pay a $25 early check in fee. Asked me next, flashing the sandwich a little, I said “yes, or at least drop our bags off and come back later.” She saw the sandwhich and straightaway replied “let me see if we have any upgrades available” and then unhooked the velvet rope and led me up to an empty kiosk where she then took the sandwich, left the $20 under my card sitting on the counter, starts punching in stuff on the computer, and asked me “do you want a better room, or a better view?” I responded with “whatever you think I’ll enjoy more.” She then put us in the Strip view tower, top floor, closest room to the strip. We can see everything. So weird, but it was like a totally understood secret handshake, she knew the drill. In fact, it almost seemed like she was skimming the line just looking for sandwiches. Oh, and on top of that, she waived my early check in fee, and didnt make me put a deposit down or anything for incidentals. Just charged my debit card for the exact amount and that was it.

I greeted the younger lady and handed her the sandwich. Asked if there were any complimentary upgrades and when she saw my tip (30 bucks) she quickly put it away and started typing it away. And, HOOK it up! we got tickets for a show. Two champagne bottles and ice cream!

Worked, went from the room she booked to the room she wanted. Got an amazing strip view with a king bed instead of the queen without a view. Saving us 80 bucks a night.

Saved:  $0.00 Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room

I put a folded 50 on top on my id and credit card, was very open about it. I stepped up to the registration agent, and she greeted me, and I was very upbeat with my greeting back! She asked for ID and credit card and I handed her my stack, and said is there any complimentary upgrades and she click the computer and then said let me go check, she went in the back room and came out and said unfortunately all our suites our sold out. Ill put you in a high floor room. In our updated tower. That is already the exact room I had booked. That to me is not an upgrade. Room is not good, I feel like that was a big waste of $50.00 (btw Im staying 7 nights so I thought the $50 was more appropriate for a lengthier stay) I guess it DID NOT work, ;(

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Jubilee Room  from  Jubilee Room

We showed up around noon on a Thursday and waited in the check-in spot, there was no line and a woman from the platinum members desk called us up. She was super nice and pleasant and loved my mom’s shirt. I handed her the sandwich and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available. She said she had us covered. She then asked if we wanted 2 beds and we said if it was possible that’d be great. She told us that she had gotten us a very nice room but it was still being cleaned and to check back with her in an hour. We came back a little after an hour had passed to check if the room was ready and it was. We headed up to our room super excited only to find that it was the same room we’d initially booked but with 2 beds. Needless to say we were a little disappointed.
I think maybe if we hadn’t stated a preference over 2 beds we would have actually gotten an upgrade. I think the only rooms with 2 beds are the stardard rooms. It doesn’t even have a nice view :/
The woman was still super kind and deserved the tip, I just wish our experience had been as great as the others mentioned here.
My advice: don’t ask for 2 beds.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room Strip View

Booked a Jubilee Strip view room on a comp.

Went to a female clerk in the diamond line. Handed the sandwich to her and clearly she knew what I wanted. Quietly asked if she had either a Jubilee Executive Suite or Jubilee Premium suite available.

Asked if I needed the two beds that I had booked, and I said no.

Didn’t say what I was getting but it turned out to be a Jubilee Executive.

While it was on a low floor, and didn’t have the best view I could still see some of the Bellagio Fountains if I looked out the window at an angle

Saved:  $$100 per night we were staying from online prices Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room

We arrived at noon on a Monday, they had ppl pushing us towards their kiosks. We have been reading about the sandwich and we’re going to try so we went around the corner and found the early check in line. Folded up my 20 and handed it to our clerk( middle age woman) she took it, recognized it and immediately began typing away. They were doing some kind of construction right on the front desk so talking involved yelling. She asked if we didn’t want the two queen bedroom that we booked and we said no and we were wondering if their were any comp upgrades. She kept typing and when she handed me back my cards she said I put you into the executive suite.

We came late due to traffic (around 8PM on a weekday). We did not target anyone specifically but we were helped by a middle aged man. We slipped him the sandwich and gave him the “are there any complimentary upgrades” line. He set it aside and said he will see what he can do. He found something for us and told us if we don’t like it, we can come back and let him know. Obviously, we were very happy with the upgrade from a regular queen room to a executive suite with a strip view!

I got upgraded to Jubilee executive suite!

We arrived at Bally’s around midnight. There were only 2 clerks there. One seemed like he was having a good day, and the other one… she was arguing with the customer about something and the manager was right next to her. So I started praying. “Please let me go to that guy. please…” but of course, when it’s my turn, the customer that was yelling walks off. I went up to her as her manager went back to his room, I said “hello” and gave her my sandwich. When she got my sandwich, she kind of dropped the 20 dollar bill on the desk and was checking my ID and stuff. I said: “I was wondering if there is any complimentary upgrades.” With a smile in her face, she said “Let me take a look at it…” then boom, I got my upgrade!

I went on Tuesday right before Thanksgiving (11/20/18) and If you book it early enough, you don’t need to pay for the original room that I was supposed to stay in. So my quick 2 days trip hotel was free! (excluding 20 dollar bill, and 2 nights resort fee which is 39.68 dollars per night)

So I recommend going that week! You can’t go wrong with a free room at Vegas with a huge hot tub and an amazing view.

**We were actually upgraded to a Jubilee Premium Suite**

Checked in around 11am and there was about a 15 min wait to check in. Didn’t get the chance to target anyone unfortunately. We were called by an older woman (name started with R) and I greeted her with small talk and asked about her day. She was clearly flustered but put on a happy face and answered, asking for my ID after. Gave her the 20$ and asked if there was any upgrades she could give us since we were only there for 1 night. She was extremely grateful, ran back to talk to a supervisor for about 5 minutes. She came back with a smile and said we made her day, and for that, “I hooked you guys up”.

We go to our room and discovered we went from a small 300 sq ft room in the old tower we paid 70$ for, to a massive 1700 sq ft new tower suite with separate bedroom and living room, and a huge jacuzzi tub, with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. An amazing upgrade!!! My only sadness was that we were only there for 1 night.
