Saved:  $100+ Tipped:  $30 Upgraded to  Jubilee Grand Suite  from  Jubilee Room

I greeted the younger lady and handed her the sandwich. Asked if there were any complimentary upgrades and when she saw my tip (30 bucks) she quickly put it away and started typing it away. And, HOOK it up! we got tickets for a show. Two champagne bottles and ice cream!

Worked, went from the room she booked to the room she wanted. Got an amazing strip view with a king bed instead of the queen without a view. Saving us 80 bucks a night.

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  Indigo Tower Suite  from  Indigo Room

When I arrived at Bally’s at around 6pm, the front desk was extremely busy with a long line of people waiting to check in. I dropped my bags with the bellhop desk and went out to dinner. I came back to the front desk around 10pm. There was no one in line and I picked a guy behind the desk who looked like he was around 35-40 years old. I folded a $50 bill and placed it between my credit card and drivers license. He asked if I was there to check in, I said yes and he asked for ID. I handed him the “Vegas sandwich” and he set it down on the counter next to his keyboard. I asked, “Would you mind looking into any available upgrades to my room?” He replied, “Sure… let me see what we have available. How about a suite?” To which I agreed that would work out just fine. He picked up my ID and credit card, handed them back to me and put the $50 in his pocket. We thanked each other and I was on my way. Room was nice, big, it had a living room, dining area, wet bar, bedroom, two bathrooms, a dance studio (which seemed odd) and a really nice view of the Vegas strip. The only thing that would have been a better upgrade, is to get that type of room in the newer Jubilee Tower. But I wasn’t complaining.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room Strip View

Booked a Jubilee Strip view room on a comp.

Went to a female clerk in the diamond line. Handed the sandwich to her and clearly she knew what I wanted. Quietly asked if she had either a Jubilee Executive Suite or Jubilee Premium suite available.

Asked if I needed the two beds that I had booked, and I said no.

Didn’t say what I was getting but it turned out to be a Jubilee Executive.

While it was on a low floor, and didn’t have the best view I could still see some of the Bellagio Fountains if I looked out the window at an angle

So I had an offer for two free nights in the new tower. “Resort room” was the type when I made my reservation. 2 queen beds NS in the description. Got there around 3:30 on Sunday 5/13/18 and waited in line. The woman who helped me had just started her shift I think I was her 3rd customer. Was super nice to her right away asked how her day was going etc. She asked for my card and ID. Gave her the sandwich. She set the $20 and my credit card down and scanned my ID. Said “so I’ve got you in the resort tower with two queen beds, yes?” And I said “yes, but do you have any complimentary room upgrades?” Her “hang on…you don’t need the two queen beds?” Me “no that was the only option it gave me” her “okay….” she clicked away for a minute and then “I have a grand quite room with a jacuzzi and king bed is that ok?” Yes ma’am thank you!! She couldn’t have been more nice. Room is great!! King bed huge flat screen, at least 55-60”, jacuzzi, huge walk in shower with two doors. This works!!

Checked in on 12/18. staying for 4 nights total. got the room on a 3rd party site for about 26 a night. Arrived at about 2PM. they were really pushing the “early check-in kiosk” however the line was not too long and was looking to get this upgrade. i let a couples behind me go as i wanted to get the more happy clerk to better my odds. i then get called out of line by a staff member from the diamond /vip room and was told i could check-in there. walked up to the clerk and told her if there was any comp upgrades available. she took my cards and layed them on the counter with splitting the cards and moving the bill off to the side. she quickly got to work, typing away. i was originally was booked for the old tower and was told there was a room available in the newer tower with a Jacuzzi if id like to take it.

overall great experience for the first time trying it out.

will be doing this moving forward whenever i book.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room Strip View

I went on a Tuesday afternoon, it was not super busy, but I waited in line and didn’t have the opportunity to choose a clerk. I asked him how he was doing, gave him my ID/CC with $20 as the meat, and asked if there were any room upgrades available.

My room was changed from the jubilee room strip view to a ‘studio suite.’ I essentially had a view of the Linq High Roller, and could see Caesar’s Palace to the left. So, unsure if it was a ‘true upgrade’ but it was definitely a very nice room.

So definitely went into this with the mindset “Whoever checks me in is getting this $20 sandwich” it definitely paid off. The clerk took my ID and credit card as soon as she felt the 20 she immediately put the $20 back in my hand and said “Let me see what I can find available.” She checked and suites were not available but she typed away and found at least something.

Boom! Went from having a normal low floor room with no view, to a high floor jubilee room with a strip view of the Bellagio fountain. Honestly didn’t have to say much. I made small talk. I feel if you actually conversate and not sit there waiting for an upgrade like its a bonus trigger on a slot machine, things go smoother than normal. At the end I put the $20 back on the counter and she asked “Is this for me?” I said yes and thanked her and went on my way. Worth it.

Saved:  $200+ Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Indigo Junior Suite  from  Indigo Room

Didn’t target any specific clerk, but got the one I wanted. Younger woman. Mid twenties. Checking in a little early.

Had my 20 sandwiched but it was sticking out a little on the side. Didn’t have to ask for an upgrade. The great clerk got searching immediately. Offered junior suite or jacuzzi suite. Took the junior since it had a strip view on a higher floor.

First, let me tell you I THOUGHT i was booked in to Harrah’s, but that’s a whole nother story. When I tried to check in at Harrah’s I was routed to the high end check in lady and she politely said she was not allowed to do the upgrade. So, by the time I went to Ballay’s I was quite flustered. The young lady at the front desk at about 6:00PM was very nice and accommodating. Upgraded to a gorgeous suite overlooking the strip. Plus when I got home and opened my bill, surprise!, $56 in resort fees waived! I already had a nice room comp’d from minimal gambling on the Rewards card in New Orleans, so it was a giant comp on top of a comp
