The Linq is branded as a hotel for millennial travelers. However, being a Caesars Entertainment property they have an existing customer that might be slightly older. The task of creating a hotel and casino that works for all of their existing customer and future customer isn’t easy. That said, they’ve done a great job offering something for everyone.

The Linq casino is huge and broken into different areas. The different sections work nicely because not everyone visiting a casino is seeking the exact same experience. Like people from every other generation, there are different types of millennials. Regardless of age, there are 4 distinct areas of the casino that can easily appeal to different people.

Tag, 3535, O’Sheas, Catalyst are all different bars that each help offer a different experience. The bars help create a different atmosphere than you’ll find in other areas of the casino. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll find in each section of the casino.

Tag Bar

You can enter Tag Bar from The Linq shopping promenade. This is a beer drinkers sports bar and a technologically advanced mini-casino. This area of The Linq casino is sort of mellow with sports on over 20 TVs. There is dance and pop music played but it’s at a lower volume than the other parts of the casino. This creates almost a mellow vibe.

Above the refrigerators you’ll see signs that say “Beer Revolution.” The bar has over 200 beers from all around the world. The large majority of those beers will be complimentary if you’re playing video poker. This is the best video poker bar on the Vegas Strip for beer drinkers looking for a different beverage.

The casino area in the bar includes electronic blackjack, roulette, Big Six wheel and video poker machines. The blackjack section across the walkway is all traditional hand-dealt blackjack.

Catalyst

This bar area is closest to the Vegas Strip entrances. The flair bartenders, loud music and frozen drinks set the mood for this part of the casino. This area probably has the most foot traffic in the casino. The Catalyst bar is a gateway to the hotel, The Linq Promenade and the rest of the casino.

This isn’t exactly a mellow area to drink and gamble. It is a great location if you want to grab a drink and enjoy a little people watching. In addition to the popular frozen drinks you’ll find a number of unique signature cocktails at the bar.

The bar has plenty of video poker but the area has much more gambling. A small pit of non-traditional table games (3 card poker, Mississippi Stud Poker, etc.) is adjacent to the bar. Next to the pit is the very comfortable sports book.

3535

This bar is right off the lobby and is Las Vegas’ only infusion bar. The bar and lounge has 35 custom-made infusions that make some of the more unique cocktails on the Strip. This lobby bar sets the tone for the entire hotel. During the day the lounge is great for relaxing with a delicious cocktail. That changes at night when a DJ brings the music at volumes not meant for all ages.

The unique setup of 3535 flows from bar to lounge to dance floor and mini casino. The bar has a handful of video poker machines. While well drinks are complimentary, signature cocktails are discounted to $2.

The casino area at 3535 features mostly blackjack tables and a craps table. There are also go-go dancer platforms for when the party gets started on the weekend. This is your spot if your casino experience is better with hip hop and dance music.

O’Sheas

The original O’Sheas actually occupied part of The Linq casino before being closed. The old casino was combined with Imperial Palace to make The Linq Hotel and Casino today. Similar to Tag, you can enter O’Sheas from The Linq shopping promenade. Unlike the other bars, O’Sheas is actually located in its own space connected to the rest of the hotel and casino. The small casino area has about 20 table games, beer pong tables, 2 bars and a performance stage. When it’s open, O’Sheas is always rocking.

The casino features all games you’d expect to find in a casino. Gamblers should note that all blackjack games here pay 6:5 instead of 3:2 when you’re dealt 21. The larger of the two bars has video poker and the rest of the space is dedicated to entertainment.

The small stage features mostly rock bands. There are multiple beer pong table locations around the casino. The beer pong tables are almost always in action once the sun goes down. You’ll find this to be one of the most raucous parts of the casino.

Each bar section at The Linq casino offers a different experience. For example, you can sit at Tag bar and never know that there is a DJ and go-go dancers at 3535. This is a unique casino environment and one of the most fun on the Vegas Strip.
