Summer is here and it’s officially pool season! Pool season is simple in most cities. You go to the pool to take a dip and get some sun. Las Vegas isn’t most cities and pool season offers more than just about any city in the world.

The first pool season in Las Vegas actually started about a month ago since the weather is warmer earlier than most cities. Some pools are open all year round but the beginning of pool season is similar to other cities where all hotel pools begin opening. The real pool season begins on Memorial Day weekend when the dayclubs kick off their weekly events.

The best dayclubs are packed with people who are looking for a little nightlife in the sun every weekend during the summer. Dayclubs are not the mellow poolside experience where you’ll going to lay out and read a book while you get some sun. Dayclubs are more like nightclub experiences under the sun and around a pool.

There are different preferences when choosing a pool party but there will be few to argues that the 5 6 dayclubs below aren’t among the best in Las Vegas.

Encore Beach Club (Wynn/Encore)

Always crowded and always are party are two ways to describe Encore Beach Club. This has been one of the most, if not the most, popular dayclubs in Las Vegas over the past 5 years or so. Large pools, cabanas, daybeds (called lilly pads), misters, elegant decor, beautiful people and the best DJ’s from around the world make Encore Beach Club so popular. This is the spot if you’re looking for that once in a lifetime dayclub experience.

Marquee Dayclub (Cosmopolitan)

This could be a very small capsule because Marquee Dayclub offers almost the same experience as you would experience inside Marquee minus the lighting. The lighting inside the club is replaced with sunlight and a more modest lighting rig. Even though the nightclub should have a more intense party atmosphere, it feels as though there’s a bigger buzz happening outside at Marquee Dayclub.

Wet Republic (MGM Grand)

This has always been a popular dayclub because of its location at MGM Grand. The popularity of Wet Republic has blown up since Hakkasan Group started booking performers like Tiesto and Calvin Harris. You’ll have an elevated dayclub experience that’s similar what you’d have at night when visiting Hakkasan inside MGM Grand. You’re bound to see some kind of celebrity at Wet Republic as it’s often the location of next day after-parties for Saturday night events and performers.

Drais

Drai’s Beach Club (The Cromwell)

There are views of Las Vegas and there are GREAT views of Las Vegas. Drai’s Beach Club offers the latter with spectacular views of the middle of the Las Vegas Strip from the 11th floor of The Cromwell. The great views extend to the cabanas as you have two excellent options. You can choose to look out to the club a few above the crowd or get a second level cabana where you can see the Vegas Strip between the palm trees in addition to the scenery inside the club.

Tao Beach (The Venetian)

Some might consider this just another dayclub and they wouldn’t be entirely wrong. Tao Beach is a relatively small pool area located above the nightclub inside The Venetian. This dayclub has everything you’d expect from Tao including the A-List talent. One of the unique features at Tao Beach is reserved for large groups. You can purchase multiple cabanas to make your own huge party within the pool party.

Special Mention: Rehab (Hard Rock)

This is where daylife and dayclubs first started. Rehab hasn’t fallen off like some clubs tend to do in Las Vegas. In fact, despite being the granddaddy of dayclubs Rehab is still one of the largest and most popular pool parties in Las Vegas. There’s always a cool, new kid on the block but don’t forget where it all began.

Dayclubs are essentially outdoor nightclubs and operate in a similar manner with cabanas replacing tables.
