It shouldn’t be a surprise that Las Vegas is busiest during the weekend. Demand for hotel rooms and just about everything else will often drive prices higher during these periods. This isn’t much of a surprise since just about every business in the world is busier during the weekend. Prices to travel and stay in most cities are similarly higher on the weekend.
Visiting Las Vegas from Sunday through Thursday will usually save some money on hotel rooms since they aren’t as busy. These are also the best days to look for a hotel room upgrade. Personally, my best upgrades in casino-hotels have always come during the week. There simply aren’t as many high rollers visiting so there are more nice rooms available.
In an effort to attract Las Vegas locals and bargain hunting tourists the Cosmopolitan is introducing a new promotion on Mondays called “Unlock Your Monday’s” beginning May 30. The promotion will offer unique dining, entertainment and nightlife discounts at different locations inside the hotel.
The promotion is unlocked (get it?) when you use the code words “Unlock Your Mondays” at any participating venue. Once you say the password phrase you’ll receive a vintage gold key to use at the different venues. Each keyholder and a guest will have the ability to create a unique experience every week at STK, Beauty & Essex, CliQue and Marquee Nightclub. You can even catch a free movie at the Boulevard Pool. You don’t have to redeem the key for anything so you can keep it as a memory of your visit to the Cosmopolitan.
Here are the participants and promotions for each location for“Unlock Your Monday’s” at the Cosmopolitan:
STK
Inside the steakhouse, keyholders will gain access to Magnum Mondays offerings which includes a buy one, get one offer on select bottles from their exclusive champagne collection. Additionally, you can unlock complimentary crab, lobster or prawns with the purchase of any upgraded loin strip, filet or bone-in rib steak.
Beauty & Essex
Keyholders can enjoy different buy one, get one free offers from 9 to 11 p.m. on select cocktails available at Beauty & Essex’s Pearl Lounge.
CliQue Bar & Lounge
Keyholders will enjoy 50 percent off champagne sangria, deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried peanut butter and jelly desserts and the cocktail lounge’s innovative tableside mixology. Additionally, you will be able to unlock a complimentary cocktail from 7 to 9 p.m.
Marquee Nightclub
Keyholders will receive complimentary admission to Marquee Mondays as well as entry to Silent Disco in The Library on the first Monday of every month (excluding holiday weekends). Additionally, local ladies with a key will have access to one hour of open bar. Groups of four or more will receive a discounted rate on the nightclub’s Mr. Q Monday bottle service package that includes a bottle of Belvedere Vodka and Veuve Clicquot champagne.
Dive-In Movies
Keyholders will receive complimentary admission for two to Dive-In Movies at the Boulevard Pool. Movies are shown on the 65-foot digital marquee overlooking the Las Vegas Strip on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m.
Combine less expensive hotel rooms with promotions like “Unlock Your Mondays” at the Cosmopolitan and various Happy Hour deals all over town and you have a variety of ways to save a few bucks when visiting Las Vegas during the week.
