Wynn Poker Room Moving To Encore

WynnEncore

Wynn Las Vegas is changing before our eyes. The most recent announcement has the poker room closing at Wynn and relocating to Encore. This is a multi-tiered plan, but more on that later. Let’s focus on the confirmed plan to change the casino floor in both buildings.

The poker room at Wynn is one of the most popular on the Vegas Strip. Its convenient location near the Wynn garage draws a good number of locals. While the gravitas of being the poker room in a luxury resort draws tourists. The poker room at Wynn wasn’t difficult to find but it was tucked away from most of the action on the casino floor.

The new poker room at Encore won’t be as convenient to the parking garages. It will right in the middle of the action, adjacent to Encore Players Club, Surrender, Encore Beach Club and Andrea’s. The new location might be a way to attract newer and younger poker players. The casino floor at Encore is small enough where the location shouldn’t deter locals from parking and walking a couple of minutes.

The new poker room will remain Wynn branded as the “Poker Room at Wynn.” The poker room will occupy 8,600 square feet, feature 28 tables and offer dedicated amenities for players such as USB ports for charging mobile devices. There will be a sports book window located inside the room and there will be 35 huge 65” televisions located inside the poker room that will air live sporting events. Dedicated, in-room restrooms and a spacious high-limit area will create an all-inclusive experience, providing players with an added level of exclusivity and convenience.

The new poker room inside Encore is set to open on May 26, 2016. The current poker room will remain open to players until that time.

Encore To Be Home For Sports Fans At Wynn

The full-service sports book will remain at Wynn (for now) but Encore might become the best place between the two properties to watch the games. Encore Players Club has 23 large TV’s to watch the games while relaxing with a drink or playing blackjack. The new poker room will have 35 TV’s where you can keep an eye on the games in between hands. Altogether there will be no less than 58 TV’s at Encore showing games.

The addition of a sports book window inside the poker room and mobile sports wagering app being released shortly will allow players to wager on sports without ever leaving Encore. This certainly beats walking through the Esplanade to the Wynn sports book.

Future Of The Poker Room Space

Shortly after the poker room is moved from Wynn to Encore construction will begin on a new shopping plaza. The new retail mall will go through where Ferrari dealership was located and include a two-story building with a glass roof, an atrium kind of structure that has 75,000 feet of space.

The new plaza will become another entrance into Wynn from the Vegas Strip and occupy just under 100,000 square feet on two floors. Unofficially it’s said that the plaza will include restaurants, bars and places to shop. This is still in the planning phase and details should be revealed closer to construction beginning.
