Tesla Opens New Las Vegas Dealership

Posted on Categories Activities

Tesla continues to expand its Nevada footprint with a new dealership on Sahara Avenue. At 26,000 square-feet the new Tesla dealership is twice as large as their previous Las Vegas retail outlet. The new dealership won’t only sell cars but it will also be a showcase for Tesla Energy products. You’ll be able to purchase products such as rechargeable batteries and roof tiles for solar energy. The old Tesla retail outlet near I-215 and Jones has closed. They will keep the space and will use it as a non-retail related space in the future.

Tesla In Nevada

Tesla started to become a serious part of Nevada in 2014. They broke ground on the Gigafactory in June 2014 outside Sparks, Nevada which is near Reno, Nevada. Tesla isn’t only using this factory to build cars. This facility was built to achieve their mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy through affordable electric vehicles and energy products. The Gigafactory has a long way to go until it’s complete. It’s 2018 and the massive complex is still only about 30% complete.

The automobile manufacturer has nearly 20 supercharger stations all over Nevada including two in Las Vegas. These stations allow Tesla owners to charge their cars to charge. One of the Tesla supercharger stations is on Las Vegas Boulevard at Town Square just south of Mandalay Bay. The other supercharger station is located in a parking garage at 8th Street and Bridger Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.

While supercharging is still much less expensive than gas, the rates appear to be on the rise. If you purchase a new Tesla S or X, you can get free unlimited supercharging using this Tesla referral code. Unfortunately, this promotion isn’t available for the new Model 3.

Tesla Model 3

The new Las Vegas Tesla dealership opening coincides with the release of the Tesla Model 3. The newest Tesla car is designed and built as their first mass-market, affordable electric vehicle. The Model 3 is smaller than their other sedan models and has a starting price as low as $35,000. The actual price appears to be closer to $50,000 with basic customizations. Deliveries for Model 3 reservations will begin in late 2018. You can learn more about Model 3 here.
