The Front Desk Tip blog is a great place to find information on new ways to enjoy a visit to a Las Vegas casino-resort. Sometimes we’ll give tips on how to use the $20 trick for great upgrades. Other times we’ll use the blog to alert you of news or hotel rooms to look for when visiting Las Vegas.

New hotel rooms are one of the most popular hotel room upgrades after a beautiful view of the Vegas Strip. The new rooms may not the biggest suites but are often a great upgrade. We try to stay ahead of the game when looking at hotel room renovations.

Caesars Entertainment has been leading the way with hotel room renovations over the past couple of years. They’ve completed renovations at multiple properties and have more renovations planned into 2020. Caesars Palace recently finished a major renovation of the Palace Tower and the new hotel rooms at Flamingo that we informed you about in May should be available very soon. The entire Flamingo 1,270 room upgrade will be complete next year.

Monte Carlo has been under construction for the entire year. While the transformation of Monte Carlo to Park MGM will continue into 2018 there are already a few new hotel rooms available. MGM Resorts International is making new Park MGM rooms available as soon as the old Monte Carlo rooms are finished. You can preview the new hotel rooms here. Since the casino-resort will be under construction for the next year you may not need to pay more or use the $20 Trick to gain access to the new hotel rooms.

Here are some other hotel room renovations to keep an eye out for in the next few months and into next year:

The Palazzo is currently upgrading all 2,876 suites in the hotel. All rooms are expected to be available by the end of January. The casino floor is also undergoing renovations that will be completed by the middle of 2018. This is only affecting rooms at The Palazzo. It’s business as usual next door at The Venetian.

The Cosmopolitan started a major renovation of all their hotel rooms earlier this year. The first rooms should be available shortly. The entire hotel room renovation project should be complete by the end of the year.

While this hasn’t been officially announced, the Stratosphere will be renovating all 2,427 hotel rooms in the hotel next year. Details are sparse but keep your eyes peeled for more information.

Station Casinos purchased the Palms in 2016 and has spent much of the year integrating the casino-resort into their system. The casino operator recently announced a slew of upgrades to the Palms that we’ll see in 2018. What the press release fails to mention is that 282 hotel rooms in the Fantasy Tower will be receive a renovation next year. They will also be adding another 60 rooms to the tower.

Some of these hotel room renovations might be simple paint and decorations. Some of the hotel rooms will offer better amenities and an improved hotel room product. Expect to hear about more hotel room renovations since one of the easiest ways for casino operators to increase revenue.
